Tracey Gabelman-Hart
owner & director
“I love working with the younger students . . . you have to be so creative and
fun. But, you can be more demanding and encouraging to the older, more
serious dancers.”
I began dancing at age four and studied with a community mentor, Karen
McWilliams, along with many other instructors here in Lincoln. I studied with
Ballet West in 1978 and then continued my education at UNL, majoring in
business administration with a minor in dance. I have choreographed for
many community productions including Pinewood Bowl, Wesleyan Swing
Choir and the Shim-Sham Senior Tap Troupe. Gary and I were married in
1980 and we opened the studio in 1986. We have two children, Alyssa and
Michael.
I am very proud of the amazing instructors at HDA as they are incredible role
models and friends. We are so fortunate to work with so many talented
dancers and nice families.
Kelli has been teaching
combination and tap classes at
Hart since 1990. She has a degree
in elementary education from UNL
and spent several years teaching
for LPS before home-schooling her
three children. She has also
participated in several Lincoln
Community Playhouse productions.
Debbie has been dancing since the
age of five. She began her career
with Eldene Pershing. She has been
teaching at Hart since 1990. Debbie
has danced professionally for the
Phoenix Suns Dance Line. Although
she has training in many styles, her
strengths are in tap and jazz. Her
goals are to improve her students'
technique, ability and
showmanship. She enjoys
attending workshops and classes in
New York City when time allows.
Tracy has been a dancer since
the age of three and began
teaching at Hart in 2000. She
was a member and captain of
the Lincoln Southeast Shirettes
dance team, and also spent one

Lightning's arena football team.
Tracy is a 5th grade teacher for
LPS and is married to Jim. They
have two Yorkies named
Scarlett and Westley.

the age of six and takes great joy
in teaching younger students the
love of dance. She has a strong
background in ballet and modern
dance. She has studied dance at
UNL, in New York City and at

conventions. She loves to travel,
and spend time with her
boyfriend, Bryan, and their cat,
Jinx. She received her Human
Relations degree from Doane and
currently works at Facts
Management.

since 1989. She became a teacher
in 2001. Jaime has a bachelors

She loves spending time with her
family, friends, boyfriend, Scott,
and their dog, Shooter.
Aly has been dancing since age
three and began teaching in 2001.
She teaches combination, ballet,
jazz and lyrical classes. Aly likes to
focus on technique, especially
turns, and wants her students to
have a passion for dance. She
received her accounting degree
from UNL and works as a graphic
artist at Talent Plus. She also
coaches the dance team for Lincoln
High School, where she was a

Heather was invited to join the
company of Russia's Kirov Ballet,
but declined in order to pursue a
degree at Union College. She
began dancing at Hart in 2004,
and has been on staff for 2 years
now.
Katey has grown up dancing and
this is her second year teaching at
